YOUTH KARATE CLASS
OPTIONAL TESTING
AND
CERTIFICATION FOR BELT RANKING

Testing will be held on the next to last class. Certificates, Awards and Belts and Stripes will be awarded at the last class of each session along with a student demonstration. All students will test and receive a Certificate of Participation.

In addition Sensei Jay Gravelle is a certified 5^th Degree Black Belt in Shorin-Ryu Matsumura Karate & Kobudo and a member of OSMKKF, Okinawa Shorin-Ryu Matsumura Karate & Kobudo Federation and NorthWest Budokan is a chartered dojo.

As an added value to the Mukilteo YMCA Karate class Sensei Jay Gravelle is offering the OPTION to obtain belt ranking in this style. Attending classes at the YMCA does not require ranking and members always have the right to attend the Karate/Self Defense classes.

REQUIREMENTS FOR OPTIONAL BELT RANKING:

Belt Ranking in Shorin-Ryu Matsumura Karate & Kobudo requires membership in OSMKKF. Dues for additional ranking is $3.00 a month. This is payable for 6 months or yearly at class or online at: www.NWBudokan.com.

Testing fees must be paid prior to testing and are $15.00 for the first few belts. This fee includes testing, the new belt and/or stripes. At each full belt level starting at Blue belt you will also receive a large certificate from Okinawa signed by Master Fusei Kise. The certificate from Okinawa will take 1-2 months and a temporary certificate signed by Sensei Gravelle will be awarded on testing day.
